"Man on the STREET"

P e o p l e   w a t ch i n g  is one of the few hobbies I consider to be an EXTREME guilty pleasure && I'll admit it (unlike some people I'm sure). I certainly get caught people watching from my near and dear friends of mine, but they graciously accept me for me :) <3 If you still find yourself slightly confused on what exactly people watching is I'll give you an example from a website I find quite amusing.

Anyone who has an eye so to say for fashion always has to "people watch" to a certain degree it's what we do in order scope out fashion savvy people in our own definition that we define to be fashionable. There is nothing wrong with checking out what is out there with an observable eye...Aside from mainstream fashion there is always the subculture aspect to consider.

what i learned from his sense of style
  • ...."my style is however i feel that day and what music i listen too. i very in tune to how music affects my mood, which in turn affects my choice of clothing. if i feel lively and ready to go it's definitely going to be a causal jeans and v-neck day"....

  • purchases articles of clothing from Urban Outfitters and Pac Sun however openly admits to searching for better deals to fit his budget such as Wal-Mart and Rag-O-Rama (I would recommend shopping at this particular venue)

  • ..."sometimes it's okay to dip into something something new to show that you can be the same person on the inside, but versatile on the outside"....

  • favorite piece of clothing: vneck

  • influential sources: other people's personal fashion choices, GQ, OUT, and Men's Fashion.

what she taught me about her fashion sense
  • ...."my vision of style is that it is something that should make you feel good about yourself"...."i'm not afraid to try new, different, and fun things while also showing that i can still be classic and traditional"..."i like to be different, but not too standout while being professional and fun!"....

  • purchases articles of clothing from sources such as Etsy.com (items available are all created by individuals aside from mass produced companies-pretty interestin'), Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Anthropology, and J.Crew

  • her style has became more independent over the years she feels. aside from previous fashion beliefs now she wears what she wants rather than wearing what a majority of the population is trending in.

Fashion Week

There's one week in September that is more important than any other week.

the story behind the "goddess"

aside from not just only clothing: Seventies Glam Highlights Marc Jacobs Makeup.

François Nars went for a strong eye at Marc Jacobs, achieving it with a deep forest green shade mixed with black — and “a lot of Vaseline, grease on the eyelids. They are very shiny,” he noted.

On a side note:
Not all would agree that these were the top of line must see areas of interests at this years Fashion Week event. However, I enjoy LOUD color blocks, busy prints, and sleek funky make up that isn't always the easiest to pull off. Fashion is all about stepping out of your comfort zone and finding what works for you. The first time I tried my dark forest green eye shadow and mixed it up with black shimmer I wouldn't say I felt the most comfortable, but it didn't stop me from trying it. Or bright red lipstick for that matter. There are no boundaries or RULES in fashion unless you give those to yourself. There aren't designated standards that must always be followed.. if you do follow them you might find yourself truly missing out on something you could of really enjoyed.
